I can see why I have waited 16-1/2 years to try and use SoftList.

I have a 6X6 post that is drawn in at FIT to Beam (9’-1 ¼”) which is displayed on my LIST.

Am I crazy to think that 6X6 post should or could be displayed to a standard Board Length?

I asked Tech but I don’t think he knows .

 

 

 

"How do I get 6X6 Pressure Treated Post to round off to the Foot?

I tried Roundup(height,12)but doesn’t seem to work?

 

 

On this case it’s being called out at 9'1.25" and I think it should list as a 10' Board.

in your formula you do not need to add the option for round-up to the height option. to make the post report correctly go to File>System Options>System Options>SoftList Configuration>Lumber Tables>Configure. from the Price Table pull down choose the Pressure Treated option. on the top right change the rounding options from Exact to Modular

Why do I have to "go" do and anything?

Is there a reason it doesn’t in your words "report correctly"?

Another purpose to show it exact?

 

I went to change from "EXACT" to "Modular" ... as you can see in my image ...

MODULAR was already selected. Another Solution ??????

Can I not get the list to display a 5 ½”X5 ½” X10’ in this case?

This is what I have for PT 6x6 posts and it works for me. BTW what lengths do you have listed in your Lumber Table for 6x6? If you don't have anything longer than an 8'  6x6, Softlist can't find the 10' length to report and will the exact length instead.

My Lumber table does have the 8,10,12,14,16's 

 

After tech logged into my system, he found that my POST LIBRARY - had BOTH a Sequence number and an "ID" number.

Which "confused' it he said. 

 

I’m not smart enough to have put both numbers in there yet. 

He believes it was most likely a previous version / upgrade kind of thing.

 

Sir, I did notice on your image.. The “Calculate Dimensions” do not have “Roundup like” mine.

 

Does your display as 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 or 6X6 on your reports.. I’m curious but not brave enough to modify what I got to see what happens if I make mine like yours.

My posts report as 6"x6"x10'0". I believe this is because the Lumber table is set to modular (pulls the sizes from the thickness and depth of the table)
