How many of you would be interested in a stair library that includes all the components and assemblies required to make a large variety of straight, angled and fold-back Staircases?

There would be more Posts, Spindles and Rail parts -such as pin top posts and spindles, wrought iron spindles, caps, goosenecks, etc..

45, 30, 22.5 degree corner steps etc..

Including a video on how to build Staircases with these parts.

Also how many would be willing to pay extra for that content?

Chris,

Looks nice. I currently use a sketchup plugin that does that for me so I would not have a use for it, however if you have any inclination to HVAC or Plumbing libraries... that I would be interested in.

It would be very simple to create a plumbing schematic symbol library.

Rather than develop these things myself I was more curious about what users want and would be willing to pay Softplan more to provide.

For example SoftPlan + users are already getting extra symbol content (as well as other benefits) at an increased cost of about $10 per month

If it cost 15 extra per month and Softplan would provide more content (even when the demand may not be enough incentive otherwise) -would that be good?

For example how many users are there who are actually providing their own schematics? Even if there where only 30 paying $5 per month for that and other additional content it seems to me that it would be worth doing for SoftPlan.

Or perhaps they simply made specialty libraries available at a per library cost?

Martin -I think that the reason you are not using the current system is because it does not work well and is unnecessarily complicated.

I would be more interested in a "per library cost" scenario. For those not as well versed (me) in modeling our own symbols, it can not only be frustrating creating, searching, and trying to make something work, but also time consuming.

Yea, I agree it is hard to dig through a large library.

I think the new version will have larger pictures and a darker background which will help and I also like that you can spin the models around,

but it would be nice to have a catalog in pdf format and also web based that can be looked through separately

and with more pre-assembled collections by room (having to find symbols one by one is tedious).

(I tend to make my own collections for each room and just use the same ones every time.)

I think some of the old symbols can be thrown out because they are too primitive and do not look good.
