Hello,

Many times when the wall surface adjusts to cover the floor, the bottom plate and the drywall also expand to the bottom of the floor system. Is there something wrong in my wall definition?

Thanks again,

Ben

ben,

don't know what causes your issue with the bottom plate enlarging to fill in to bottom of joist

but

have you tried right clicking on the plate in your cross section and editing it to be 1.5"

and than go into the "common" tab (or editing window) and UNCHECK "cleanup" and

maybe anchor the plate.

btw,

i'd either email or send them a ticket with the SPDs of the section and plan to tech or call them

I've had the same problem and cannot remember what fixed it. Try seeing if you have the plate set as fixed height in your wall definition.

I've run into the same problem. Have not come up with a fix.
