Hello,

Just trying to wrap my head around the initial cost for the latest version (without softlist, softTalk, etc.)and also any addition costs over the next 12 and 24 months.

Thanks

Many of us including myself go the monthly subscription route rather than laying out a large purchase or upgrade sum every couple of years or so.  Overall it costs about

$300 more over two years to go the subscription route but there are some additional benefits that in my mind make it worthwhile.   I pay around $50/mth for the subsciption

which of course has all the updates, preferred support, additional symbols and cloud copies of your work.   Once you get into the automatic withdrawals cycle you don't

really think too much about it.  I like this method.

I agree with Jim.  I was a little skeptical about SP+ when it was first announced but after finding it was only 300 bucks more over 2 years an my files are automatically backed up on their servers....it was a no brainer for me.  I work from multiple machines so always being able to pull up current drawings on machine 2 that I previously worked on with machine 1 saves a whole lot of headache!!!

So for the 2016 version I would be paying $235 x 12 months, plus $45/month for the "+" upgrade?

What does this statement mean that I pulled from the price page:

"By purchasing the SoftPlan program, a SoftPlan+ cloud services subscription is included at no additional cost up until the time of the next SoftPlan release"

SoftPlan+ subsriptions include access to SoftPlan 2016 for the $45 month.

So the $45/month is an ongoing cost, after the 12 month installment for the program, which covers any additional costs for future mandatory upgrades?

If you're on 2014, if you go with 2016+, you start paying $45 monthly and it gives you access to Softplan 2016, no upfront amount. If you stop paying the $45 (or what the monthly amount would be), you loose access to Softplan 2016 and revert back to Softplan 2014 unless your montly payments you paid cover the cost of the regular upgrade (Admin can correct if I wrong but that's the explanations that I had).

If you stop the SoftPlan+ subscription you either revert to the version you started on or upgrade to the current version for the difference in what been paid towards the subscription and what the upgrades would cost if purchased via the traditional route.
