(SP 2014)

I have a single wall segment, length 8' standing in the middle of a room

that fits to a cathedral ceiling

in cross drawing i get the correct view

see jpg 1

after saving as cross section A (spd file)

the outline goes weird to the ceiling as a box and not as a triangle

it seems the all the plates A in the wall are shown as one stud in wall lenght !

and not as some single studs, all other plates in walls show up correct

see jpg 2

please help if possible, thanks in advance

i can uncheck wall framing in extraction options

before saving as crossX.spd

but this will also remove all A plates in walls

Have you checked the "fixed" option for Plate A in the wall definition?

hi Martin, thanks

i have now removed the fixed option for Plate A

unfortunately wall Plate A goes more weird

see picture, SP error ?

i don't know if they have fixed it in 2016 so i am reluctant to buy it

there are many issues from older versions

Rather than worry too much about it, why don't you just delete the offending wall on the softplan.spd file and redraw it. It will be 10 times quicker than trying to fix it any other way!
