I hope someone can help.  I am finishing up a project and have had no trouble assembling floors and creating elevations, 3d models etc. until today.

I brought up my project and  drawing and did some dimensioning and I renamed the drawing.  When I go to assemble floors so I can model, the Assemble Floor button just dings and won't open.  When I bring up the NAVIGATION window and click on floor plan, nothing is there.  I can only access my drawings by going to OPEN.   Usually when I'm drawing I have several drawings on the ribbon at top of drawing screen, but now only one drawing will show at one time.

I'm sure it is something that I have done unintentionally, but I can't figure it out.

Only thing I did different was move a few older drawings that I wasn't using into a new folder called peliminary drawings.  I'm wondering if that did something even though the drawings that I am using aren't in that file.    Anyone out there that could advise me?

I have attached a pdf of what my screen looks like.  Using Softplan 2014

Attached File  Screenshot.pdf   313.12KB   238 downloads

Thanks in Advance!

Pamela,

You have the Softplan Project Folder (spp) highlighted. In the drop down below the

file select the Softplan Drawing file ( spd) to see if your drawings are still in the project folder.

Change the file type you are trying to open from SPP to SPD

I only see one floor plan.  You would need another floor plan or a site plan to add to the model.

Thanks for the quick response, but that doesn't change anything.  I can open all my drawings, I just can't get them to show in my navigation window and on my ribbon (ex:  main floor, second floor) so I can toggle back and forth.  Also I can't use the Assemble floor button to model my drawings.  I think these two issues are related and I just can't figure it out.

James, that is right.  And that is how my drawings were until today.  And poof, now they are not there when I open the spd. They are in a file but I can only open one at a time.  Does that make any sense?  :) Pam

Are they in the same folder as the SPP file?  If you've moved them to another folder...like the preliminary folder in your screenshot...they won't be there to use in your model

I moved all drawings except the ones I was working on and the ones that were already in the assemble floor because I was 3d modeling last night.  I'm going to remove all the drawings from that preliminary folder back under the spp and see what happens.

I appreciate ya'll responding and helping a gal out!  I will  let you know if that works.  - Pam

Ok, I never could get anything to work. It was like my navigation and assemble floor buttons were frozen.    So I closed that project and created a new project with a different name and just imported the drawings I needed into the new project and everything is working fine now.  I so appreciate ya'll helping me out.  I love this forum and wealth of knowledge here!

When this happens, go to your file explorer and delete the SPP file. Then close and reopen from within softplan.

A new SPP file will be created and you will just need to reassemble your floors.

Todd,  thanks for the advice!  I hope it won't happen again but I will keep that tip in mind.
