I have been using SP for a long time but have not seen this.  Maybe I am having a senior moment.  I am trying to draw a dutch gable, but the menu will not let me enter a value for the upper pitch?  I can click in the box but nothing happens.  Has anyone come across this?  I am using Win 10.

Are you trying to draw a Dutch Gable or Bull Nose?  Dutch Gable wouldn't have an upper pitch.  Bull Nose would....or maybe you are thinking Double Hip?

Ok, poor choice on my choice of words.   It should be Dutch Gambrel, I guess I was thinking about the gable end.  A double hip has an inside turn, the gambrel has an outside turn.

Double Hip is what I would use to draw that type of roof.  I don't know of any other way to do it in softplan.   Lower pitch would be really steep and upper would be less.

Yes, I tried that but I need the turn to be the other way.  I guess I'll have to do it more or less manually by placing and offsetting beams to get the turns.  Thanks for the reply.

Ok, I see that I can get it to work with the double hip, I just did not have the pitches set high enough for the first pitch, duh!!!!!
