Okay so i create these problems myself by offering 3D model in my design phase.  However I woudl much rather have it in the early phase than when walls are going up.    My customer is having a hard time seeing this elevation:

'...I don't know if I want the bungalow or the farmhouse. Having said that, it might just the exterior color that is bothering me.  Can you put a different color on the bungalow exterior to a "historical" blue siding, cream trim and maybe blue/gray shutters (board and batten shutters)?  I'm usually pretty visual, but I'm struggling for some reason...'

So my question is how can I change a texture to a certain color.  If I pick a color it erases the texture however there is not the correct texture with the right color.  Is there a easy way to do this? or even a bit harder one that I can learn?  I would have to say that if Softplan could find a way to change a color but keep the texture (have some problems with all siding or shutters, etc.) that would be the final nail in the Revit coffin.  :-)

you can use any color on any texture already assigned.

You just need to adjust the "relief depth" to get the texture to show

It may not look as good as the original texture, but it will work

Have a look at this POST and the ones (3) below it, and download the attached files. I have recoloured a standard vinyl profile in a range of MITTEN colours. There may be something close in colour in there that will suffice.

The trims and shutters you should be able to recolour just by using DISPLAY COLOUR instead of a texture.

If you have a REALLY specific colour in mind, let me know what it is, and I'll make something for you.

I usually end up going into the manufacturer libraries for more options.  Lots more to pick from there and in SP+ libraries

There is quite a selection of shakes and siding colors available in "Textures/ Manufacturers/ SoftPlan+/ CertainTeed/ Vinyl siding and shakes". They might not be the exact colors, but they will get you close. These are obviously only available to SoftPlan + subscribers. One other thing to keep in mind is that you can adjust the lightness or darkness of a texture by adjusting the "Ambient " slider in the "Options" tab.

Good looking house you have there, looks similar to one I built a couple years ago.
