I've been asked to dust off my SoftPlan V.12 (not 2102) after many years of not using it.  At this point I'm having a little difficulty justifying $1600 for an upgrade to 2016.  But I'm curious about subscribing to SoftPlan+ to get the latest bells and whistles.  The engineer I'm working with is strictly an AutoCad kinda guy, but likes what I've done in SP.  With the exception of a few minor glitches that I think we can work through, the DWG drawings I've exported have worked with his program.   I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to the Cloud, will SoftPlan+ give me what I need to work with an AutoCad user?

Thanks

AJ

I think you have enough without the cloud, to work with the Auto cad users, don't think + will add to that,

Altho there are other advantages, like the cloud gives you a nice backup and no cost upgrades, and other things that make it the ticket, if you are doing enough work for it.

Thanks Fred.  The engineer I'm working with wants to get away from doing residential drawings but doesn't want to turn down the work.   The plan is for me to take over his drafting responsibilities.  I'm hoping it pays off…or that I can make at least 45 bucks a month, since I just subscribed to SoftPlan+.

AJ,  Softplan+, in my opinion is,and has been, worth every dime. You will be able to both import and export in DWG and DXF, unlimited tech support,

real time upgrades, full BIM capabilities, materials estimating, RES Check printouts for customers, full renderings and more.

I have been on SoftPlan+ since they started it and glad I made the change.  Well worth it.

Thanks everyone for your feedback,  my SoftPlan+ is schedule for delivery tomorrow.  Now I'm searching the forums on how to make it work with a MAC.
