As you can see on the attached screen shot that the interior window trim is attached to the inner 2x framed wall but the interior trim on the sliding door is attached to the block portion of the wall. How can I attach the doors interior trim to the 2xframed wall? I created a new wall using 8" block, 1" air space then, 2x4 insulated wall then drywall. So both walls are the same with the same settings. Help!

Maybe I do not understand what you want to accomplish.

Your door frame is currently not covering the stud wall but you want the trim to be outside the stud wall?

My trim seems to always locate at the drywall so I have to wonder if there is a setting which controls this.

Do you have inset trim checked?

you could try this:

First set the door jamb width to go to the outside of the drywall

then generate the trim

then reset the door

see if that works.

I suppose you could cheat by using both a door and a cased opening at every location and turning off the cased opening label.
