[Verlin Klassen]

I am wondering if anyone has experience with drawing ladders in SoftPlan. I know I could draw a vertical ladder using solids, but have not figured out how to make a sloped ladder.

You could maybe use stairs with an open riser, adjusting in your Drawing Options>Material Dimensions>Stair Options the thread depth & thickness and the stringer depth & width before drawing the stair to create the ladder.

You can make the individual parts with beams and solids offset properly. Beams can be sloped. But, with such things I find it much faster to build in SketchUp and import as a model.

Thank-you again for the response. By the time you responded, Mark, I was already working on Yvonne's method. I have not really got into Sketchup.

Below is the result. While not exactly a log style I think it is a fairly descent ladder rendering.The railing is created using standard round railings, but that is hard to see with the solid texture.

Is that the SoftPlan Texture from the Interior Finish / Ceiling / Tongue and Groove. It appears that your texture doesn't repeat as much horizontally. Have you modified it or is the texture from a different source?
