I have previously used Softplan 2012 for about six months. For architectural work, it was great. I had to interface with some timber design software which was not so great. I went onto Revit and Sketchup which has served me well. My work is increasingly straight architectural design with no timber work and so I am taking another look at Softplan. One thing that I cannot try in the trial version is the Sketchup export. Every program which exports Sketchup produces a different result. Can someone send me a Sketchup file produced from the Softplan export so I can inspect the file. Thanks in advance.

Kris

The sales people have sent me a model which opens quite nicely in Sketchup. The biggest plus is that the model is organized nicely and is not a random set of edges and faces which some programs output. Good job from Soft plan.
