It seems to me there was a discussion on cleaning up the Project Menu on the start page, but for the life of me I can't find it.
Does anyone have an idea how to do it?

Upon installing the 2018 beta, it imported all my projects, but the "links" to the recent projects point to the old (2016) project files, and it's caused a bit of confusion, as I didn't realize it at first.

.. search the forum for REGEDIT, .. ( I believe it was discussed under 2014)

I'd describe the process, but I don't want the responsibility of catastrophe should you do something wrong.

I hear ya, Doug.
It's been decades since I've used regedit, and as soon as I read your reply I could feel the catastrophe coming on.
I think I'll pass for now, I'm too busy to risk it today. But thanks for the tip.

I think on the start page you can right click on the project and you have an option to delete from cloud or remove from recently opened list.

Hmm, .. Simple enough, .. right click and delete

Go figure, .. never thought of that, .. this must be new on 2016 because I don't recall that ability on 2014.

Were you not using 2016 Doug? As far as I'm aware it was always there on the project menu.

I don't really use the cloud, so don't really care, but to play devil's advocate, wouldn't it be nice to be able to remove a cloud entry from the list without deleting it from the cloud - is that the only way you can retrieve the drawings from the cloud?

What really bothers me is that I have a list of 46 projects that I haven't touched for 1 or 2 years, that are listed because at sometime I sent a Softplan + support request, but only the latest 8 of my current projects are listed. So I can't access current projects easily, but the ANCIENT ones I can. Does anyone know of a way round this?

Yes, I'm using 2016, .. ever since it became available, .. I guess I never thought of the right-click (for Project List) in 2016 or all earlier versions I've used, ..

PS, .. I don't use the cloud either, .. I have no need to access my work outside of my workplace, ..

And now that I think of it, .. if the delete from project list by right-clicking was always there, .. what prompted the old thread of regedit in the first place?

I believe this was new in 2016.  I don't use the cloud myself.  I typically store truss details, energy calcs and other stuff in my folder that doesn't transfer up to the cloud.
