Entry Doors Do Not Reverse

Just a word of caution. I had a Hinged Right Entry Door on a home I just designed. Because of the an issue with some large oak trees, the owner needed the house reversed.

 

I said no problem and I did as he requested. 

 

Now for the problem.

 

Every door in the house reversed except for the front door. I did not catch it, the builder did not catch it and the owner did not catch it, but when the front door was ordered off of the opening schedule and then delivered we had a problem.

 

Incorrect swing.

 

No one is happy !

That's been the case as far back as I can remember ... (probably about 30 minutes these days).

 

If you have 2 sidelights, you may be able to reverse hinge side, but with most combination units, you have to create a LEFT and a RIGHT variant.

My complaint for YEARS Warren. Still haven't received a reasonable answer to why we can't.

Yep, always been that way.  I have never understood why either.
