Is Softlist capable of listing Electrical Rough-in components?

Quantity of Boxes, Switches (1 way, 3 way), Receptacles, Wire, etc ..

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks, ..

Doug

Softlist is able to list every item you put on the drawing. So electrical receptacle symbols etc. will list as such. Depending on how your Softlist is set up

Thanks, ..

I've just done a small floor plan, added some plugs, lights and switches, .. created 'Material List', .. with nothing electrical showing in the list.

I'm assuming then, that the default settings for Softlist do not include the Electrical?

The Index in the Softlist Manual does not direct me to anything helpful, .. .

Is there a simple solution (hopefully) where I can 'click' a setting or two to get what I want?

I just ran a quick "Standard detailed" takeoff, and everything shows up under "Finish Electrical". I assume you'll have to create your own formula's for wiring, since that's not drawn.

Doug,

Some electrical symbols do not report if you change  calculated to description.

6" cans are one of them.

Go to Softlist > Symbol Libraries > Electrical > Ceiling Lights

at the far right you will see Description Column

There are 2 choices.  Calculated and Description

Change to description and name it say 6" recessed can.

It does not show in the report

If you leave the calculated box check it reports.

I am compiling a list to send to Tech Support

Some of the Electrical symbols are not the only ones (symbols) that do not report.

A work around is to define the symbol in the Material Definitions

Make sure you sync the sequence number to the report you use
