Hi, ..

 

If there are any Softlist Users browsing through, .. can Softlist do Electrical Take-offs?

 

I've also posted on the Softlist Forum, but posted here as well 'cause there seem to be more visitors to Softplan Forums than Softlist.

I haven't used Softlist for years but yes you can. I just generated a "By Floor" and they show up under "Finished Electrical". If it's strictly the electrical count you want, you can use "Electrical Legend"

The count will certainly help, .. I was hoping for a break down of gang boxes, switches, plates, wiring ..

 

I guess I'll have to fire a few synapses to figure what I need from the overall quantities the legend lists for me.

You can have a more complete breakdown up to a certain level but you have to create your own formulas.

We have it track switches, outlets, lighting, service panel, etc.

We also track if H/O supplies the fixtures and we do the rough-in or rough-in and install.

 

Have not tried to track gang boxes as we use an Electrician.

We give him the items and quantities.

We order the fixtures from our supplier.

 

We have no need to track gang boxes or wire as it is included in his price.

 

You could write a formula to track the gang boxes.

This would depend on the switches and outlets you use.

 

Do not know about the wire though.

Would have to really think about how to go about it.
