Check the clock on the computer. It may be incorrect, probably behind.

So I can open 2012 but not 2014, I was in Michigan and it worked fine on Wednesday night, Now Im back in Minnesota and it doesn't work.  Why do they not have support 24 hours, do they really think that we only work during the week between certain hours?

I had a blip with my key as well. Try reloading your USB drivers.

It also could be the Sentinel protection acting up. not sure how that can be reloaded.

Really getting frustrated, spend allot of money for the software, now looks like have to spend even more monthly, still no support other then week days till 5 pm.  Well for a builder that does the designs, now I will probably have to take a day off from the job site, sit on the phone with tech support.  I am so fricken upset, I got two copies of this upgrade, that I can't even do because I'm not a softplan+ member, why the hell did I get the upgrade material then when others that are softplan+ members are not getting theirs?  If they are going to charge for support then there by God better be a 24 hours service for us to get help!

A 707 error typically occurs when the browser cache is full of junk files. I suppose it's possible that since Softplan is trying to check for updates it may be an issue. Try clearing your browsers cache. You could also try running Ccleaner (from piriform.com). And see how that goes. It can't hurt and may help. Do you use a gmail account by any chance.

I am having the problem on two systems, my labtop and regular CPU.  I use comcast for mail.  It's kind of funny that I contacted Softplan on Tuesday to find out what the UPS package was, now I get this.  It had to happen when I have a bunch of bids and designs to get done by Monday morning. All my dates, times and upgrades are the same on both systems.  I am at my wits end, now I will be up till 2 or 3 in the morning most nights this week trying to get caught up, that is if I can even get the issue fixed.  I hope that I do not loose any potential jobs because of this.
