Upon reviewing and analysis of the proposed new project on an existing site, how do you develop and delineate a retaining wall ....the wall types are not available on the site drawing menus?

Simple answer would be to switch to "Drawing Mode" and turn on the visibility for "Site".

do as jim says

and a few other ways - to be discuss as this thread goes on.

when you place the shot pts along the retaining wall,

do it on both sides when you need a FLAT area on one side of the wall

and a grade on the other side..

if / when you get into trouble,  feel free to ask for solutions.

tip, to get vehicles and such to SLOPE with the grade,

make sure you click on "slopes with preference"

and also edit the symbol in symbols library and

also check "slopes with reference"

left click to ENLARGE image

My purpose to develop a detailed site plan is to export the existing and proposed elevations and all site improvements into my EARTHWORKS software for detailed site excavation analysis....softlist site excavation calc are very basic...ok for a rough idea as to the quantities...but I need much greater detail...mass cut and fill, structural fill, site striping, mass export/import quantities etc to name a few as well as strata excavation quantities for rock, shale, limestone etc from the boring logs, site balancing analysis and the list goes from there.....a niche I have created for myself as a estimating consultant...as well as drafting/prelimn/DD drafting service....this all ties in with Timberline Estimating and CPM scheduling efforts...

As always your help has been great and many thanks for all your post etc from Ver 10 on....great stuff...
