Correct me if i'm wrong, but is there not a raked window that has an option to "slope to ceiling" or "slope to roof"?
I'm going by memory here, which is not terribly reliable.
I'm sure i've used it before, but just can't find it; I thought it was in the "specialty" library.

I've also tried making my own, but don't see that as an option for custom windows.

Maybe I'm just dreaming....

I use the trapezoid window and then edit it for my needs. It then gives the the correct slope.  All three of those windows in the gable are trapezoid windows

Thanks Tom. For some reason I had renamed it and couldn't find it. Works like a charm.

I thought I searched for this before and come up empty - just had a customer tell me "There has got to be a better way to do these slope tops than creating a new custom opening every time we make changes". Yep, there is!

Traps are great!  sadly adding horizontal or vertical sections still doesnt function.  after a few versions of this being introduced you'd think they would have fixed that.

In order for one to add the windows properly, as the previous examples shown, does one have to have a second story wall or can it be made on a ballooned wall?

You can do it on a balloon wall as long as you either know your slopes or have the balloon wall set to reference the ceiling or roof you want to slope to.
