I am using LSL as our opening headers but I am having a problem with the call out in my material list.  I have set up my header span table as shown

Screenshot (8).png

where I have the LSL width shown as 3-1/2" and it is a 1 ply (similar table created for a 5-1/2" LSL).  The formula that I am using is based off the header formula in Softlist

However when I generate my material list I get the LSL headers coming off in a description of 1 1/2" thick and a count of twice a many as I need.  There also does not seem to be any counted for my 5 1/2" wide thick headers (which I have 3 openings)

What am I missing in my formula or perhaps in how I need to indicate my headers on the plans?  I have deselected the checkmark on the header of the openings so that it shows (I believe) what I am wanting

or do I need it to be checked to show this?

Could you right click on the second material list item and "edit item" so we can compare the settings to the other one? Is there any chance you are using two different material definition files?

I don't use softlist but I do specify LSL headers.  You might try changing the position box from 'spaced' to 'outside'.

Martin-Here is the settings for the one that is 1 1/2".  Looks the same to me.

They definitely look the same. So this could mean that your there is something with the header definition or the lumber table itself. I am just guessing but if it cannot find a match in the tables then Softplan might be returning the default 1-1/2" material.

And did you open the "formula" tab in the material definition to see if they actually match. Stranger things have happened!

Here is how it reads:

if header_depth  >  0  and  header_material  =  lsl
   set_dimens (inches,inches,feet_inches )
   lumber ( 1,header_width,header_depth,header_length,LSL)
endif

It appears normal

Could you add a screen shot of the lumber table?

Here is what I have as the LSL lumber table.  While I have no lengths indicated it is because it is priced on a LF basis and not like stick lumber

so apparently my formulas were correct but all my headers had been adjusted from the standard so they were not updated when I adjusted the formula (since Softlist now thought they were custom).  Resetting all openings back to the standard corrected the problem
