I seem to remember this being a topic in the past but I can't find it anywhere. I have tried everything I know to remove the fascia and soffit from the area shown and nothing seems to work. Unchecking fascia and soffit remove it from the whole edge. No matter how far I cut a hole in the roof, the fascia and soffit follow the roof. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to achieve this or is this a quirk of Softplan?

Mike, Have you edited the hole and unchecked soffit and fascia? 

Edit the Gable end and uncheck soffit and fascia?

 The attached looks more like a ceiling
