Arched Window Trim

This is my first post. Looking for a way to add arch trim above windows. I have added two pictures. With wood trim and brick. :)

You would need to use solids, beams, and create a custom opening or symbols, 

for example use a curved beam and give it brick texture etc..

one easy way is to use

a windows (flat top)

and an arch opening (pick the style of top arc / camber, round, etc

with trim at the top of it of the arch)  TIP:  play with it.

 

NOTE:  put a SOLID / plane to fill in the cut wall that the

curved arch makes above the flat top of the window.

than COPY SURFACE of the siding, stucco, etc and

PASTE Surface on the plane.

 

note: shutters from the window or the arch

USE arch top trim over flat window.JPG

Softplan has a pediment button on opening/exterior trim...that would be a great place to incorporate some sort of arched trim as shown in Randys post above.  I've been using Randy's method for years, the only flaw is its treated like a window so you'll see this on the inside of the house also.

send in the rounded arch on top of flat top windows "Suggestion"  with your illustration

and any other pictures you might have to SP tech.

there's a place on the forum to do this or is it at the home page of softplan ?  not sure.
