It's seems to be sometimes adjust, sometimes rotate and sometimes move depending on what/how objects are selected. For instance it will adjust the size of or rotate a post, but move dimension text - not the dimension.

It doesn't seem to be very controllable, and until I learn more, am going to have to be very careful with it.

In short,  the Modify command is a single action that allows you to Move, Adjust, or Rotate items depending on the placement of the cursor. When modifying objects such as interior details, it might be advantageous and timesaving to use the single Modify command rather than switching between the three separate commands

Search 'Using the Modify Command' under Help for the full list of functions that the Modify command can accomplish.

I don't know why, but I don't get ANY visual prompts to indicate what will happen when using the modify command. No move/adjust/rotate indicators at all EVER no matter what I do. Is there something that I need to turn on?

Already turned on ... Still no indication of what MODIFY is going to do!

The HELP menu item implies that HOVERING the cursor over an item will trigger the MOVE, ADJUST & ROTATE indicators ... is that the case? If so, then it plain doesn't work for me. Is anyone else seeing this behaviour.

I gave up on that one a while ago. I think my arthritis and carpal tunnel, and caffeene shakes wont let me use it,
