One of my clients was watching me make adjustments to their plan and mentioned that I must have been using SoftPlan for a long time. I thought about it for a minute and it was 30 yrs this past spring that I started on SoftPlan.

I generally don't make changes on the fly while people are looking over my shoulder but get the same results as Don.  Now with the use of double & triple monitors people are amazed to catch a glimpse of Softplan in action.  Especially cutting sections and turning 3d while getting real-time changes of stuff.  I guess i've been a user for 10+ years.  Purchased V10 I think from someone on Ebay...i do recall the Acad breakaway was very difficult.

Keep pushing the envelope SP!

The downside of course is when they see how quick it works, they think we can have their plans done in 20 minutes ... and of course only bill them for 20 minutes ...

It is just a click on the computer "it shouldn't take you that long" :-)

I started on version 10 as well as a number of people.  I left the custom design industry due to change of job focus... and just kept using it as I needed to do a drawing here and there.  I recently came back to doing many more custom drawings and I wanted to say 1 thing about Softplan that I was very happy about.  In 2016 I decided I was going to upgrade and was all ready to bite the bullet and throw the money at a new copy.  But the $/month for Softplan+ has been a spectacular option and I just thought I'd say thanks about that.
