Hello,

I see that Softplan is bannered as being able to export a file to RES-Check for a title 24 report.

However, down here in Southern California, trend setters and future casters for the rest of the state, they don't accept the RES-Check anymore for a Title 24 Compliance submittal for permit.

Does anyone use Softplan to create a CBECC report?

thanks kindly.

Thanks for your question, as I've searched for an "import" feature, and it doesn't seem to have one. It will open files in a few formats, but they all seem to be this platform's older versions.

I really thought RES-Check was a great tool and very intuitive. In Central California, years ago, I used to use it on my designs. This new program used to be proprietary and, but now I think State of California has made a deal with them to accept their output as they used to do with RES-Check.

It would be great for the folks at RES-Check to lobby to be one of the approved software products to get their Title 24 compliance report approved for submittal purposes in California.

Peace,

M.
