Greetings friends-

I would like to discuss monitors, particularly 4k monitors.

I recently purchased the Dell 28" 4K monitor. Coming from a 15" laptop screen, this thing is huge. So big in fact, I find the "travel time" of the mouse to click icons in the upper left hand, etc to be frustrating and a bit slow.

I also now have it set up to where I can add another monitor and keep 60hz @ 4K, but I would like feedback from the community on what monitor you use and why, before I purchase the next monitor.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

JLB

I have 2 Samsung 28" 4k monitors.  I have been using them for about 8 months and love them!

Not a reply for the monitors, but you can edit the mouse software to speed up the mouse pointer movement.

You could also purchase a gaming mouse, and increase the tracking speed that way - I believe some are capable of tracking up to 500 inches per second.

I run a 28" and a 24".  Is there a noticeable difference in the 4k monitors?

I have 2 40" Samsung 4K and am very happy with them.  The size is great when going over details with clients in my office.....

I have two 24" Viewsonic monitors.  I sit 30" away and it's all the desktop real estate I need for the 5-6 applications I regularly run.  Excellent depth of color and pixilation.

I second the comment on the mouse speed. Ever since going to 2 and now sometimes 3 monitors increasing that mouse speed and getting a large mouse pad has been key.
