Did you use neighborhood mode Martin to get the back yard view?

They look good

I used "neighborhood" to create a background image.

What's up with the roofing shingle pattern?

I think it is a combination of the lower roof pitch and the low resolution of the image.

Anyone know if there is a SP youtube video discussing neighborhood usage?  I tried using the online manual but found it close to useless.  :)

If you are a Softplan Plus subscriber, there's a Training Video (#20) under "Site" in the training video library.

I discovered a neat use for neighbourhood (excuse the Canadian spelling). I have to do a series of 4, 5 and six unit townhouses and they are on a sloping street meaning I would have to manage up to 4 floor levels from unit to unit. Instead of doing a plan for the whole building I have a separate project for each individual unit. When it comes time to do the renderings I start with the "A" unit (first on the left) and pull the other units into the site plan setting their relative vertical position. The rest involves setting up the site plan to accommodate all the units.

Here is a work in progress and is my first attempt at using this method. I have yet to add the other driveways and fix the grades. this one has a 1 foot grad difference between B and C units.
