Noob question...but..can anyone help on the surface / editing.

the "lines" that is the top of plate/under 2nd floor floor system line... jpeg attached

I have done everything to make sure that....

offsets are corrects i.e. floors, stairs, posts etc. are not causing the problem.

I have adjusted many times the "surface edit" feature and can get it close...but must be missing something.

cleanup vs no cleanup.

step walls  vs  no step walls commanded.

I am defin missing something.  I want to show more of the 3d work as a sales tool...but that line is getting the best of me...

help.

Have you set a "circle" reference point at a common spot on each floor? There could be a small wall/beam height error throwing off your stacking heights. If you use the reference point (it only works with the circle) Softplan will assume that the top of that wall is the starting point for the next floor.

You might have a sill plate on your second floor.
