What sort of ridge vents are you using Buddy? If you have a picture or a link that would help.

Ridge vents are already there.  Just have to turn them on in roof mode then extract them.

Sam, explain how to do that.  I am in roof mode and have opened roof options by no ridge vents.  That I can find.  I am using 2014.

Edit Roof.  Check box for ridge cap.  You'll have options for different profiles.

In elevation view click options---> extraction options---> ridge caps.  I've looked for a way to set that as default and haven't found it yet.

I'm a big advocate for ridge venting vs turtle backs or gable vents so I always show them on plans

Sam-is there a way to show them in roof mode? Just clicking on them in roof mode allows them to be shown in elevation but would like to show it on the roof plan (roof mode)

The roof ridge vent shows up ok in the roof plan and elevations but in 3d, the ridge vent does not follow the roof plans on either side or the ridge
