Is there a way to convert 3ds Max model files into Softplan?

Not directly but you can import 3ds into SketchUp and use it in SoftPlan after it has been saved as a skp.

I use a lot of 3ds files but the 3ds max files are totally different....

The 3DS Max files need to be opened with software that support that format and exported to a format that SoftPlan can utilize such as 3DS or SKP.
