Has anyone attempted creating a Lumber Table that contains posts and columns? Or am I interpreting the Post Library wrong?

Initial settings have lally columns and a number of other post type units in a Post Library Pricing table.

 

If I want to key off a length found in the project to select the proper post can I get that done in this type table? Or do I need the functionality of a lumber table??

 

Anyone doing something so far that works? First case is Lally Columns. We can use 8 or 10 foot. If project reports anything more than 8 foot I need to alter list item to the 10 foot unit.

 

I'm beginning to experiment with it but would really appreciate leap frogging over the stumbles by using your method(s).

It's not really worth it to set up a table for two possible choices. Just create an item for each and write the formula to pick the one that is in the length range of that column. Softplan already uses lumber tables for wooden posts.
