In the attached Pic, what is the name for the extended roof overhang near the top of the roof ridge and how is it created in SP  ?

Thanks again and hope everyone has a great 2018

I believe what most would recommend is to overhang your gable the distance of the top portion, then use the hole function under roof edit to cut away the lower portion of gable.

You can do it by the suggestion above in cutting the section of the roof overhang.  Draw you roof with the largest overhang (top of prow).  In drawing mode, make visible roof.  Draw with lines on each side of the gable where you want the cut to begin and end.  Go to roof mode, make visible shapes.  Use the hole command with snap on, and use the line as your reference to draw in the cut.  You have to know how to cut the hole as that has additional instructions if you don't know how to do that part.

Not meaning to sound harsh, but please don't post the same question in multiple places. It makes it very difficult to follow a subject if multiple different answers to the same question are in different places!
