The style looks the same to me, I think it's just the way the texture is applied. I don't think you will be able to get the texture to appear seamless. Or is that not the issue.

as chris says ,  try some different textures.

check "scale"  and also don't check "orient"

showing the beams with a custom "profile"

many threads on "how too" on old forum.jpg-beam2-profile-end-curve.jpg

to Keith Almond, and thanks to all of youbeam_ending2.jpg

<The style looks the same to me...> magnify/zoom and you can see that the log/beam is chamfered (along all 4 corners)

and the end option does not along the corners, just on the head of the end option but this is different chamfer top/down

so i have to create a new end option

yeah the texture does not continue in the end option

Sorry Stefan, I hadn't realised that was the issue. I don't believe that there is any way to get the end profile to have bevelled/chamfered edges the same as the beams. Although there's always someone who can surprise me. How did you do it with the beams, are they solids?

Oh I did not see that was the problem, I think that you would have to make a custom 3d symbol to fix that.

Keith,

no trouble at all, i have to apologize for any unprecise questions

i used Beam 6x10 Log Chamfer (2014 library)

it seems as Chris mentioned i have the bevelled end option chamfer and make an extra 3D Symbol

thanks to all

I don't have that beam in my library. Maybe when I brought over all my V14 and 2012 etc., I overwrote the libraries.

Probably so but when you get 2016 it will come back.

This is a problem that needs to be addressed.
