Calculating siding- exclude covered by roof

When calculating siding, if a lower roof hits an upper wall halfway up, can you exclude calculating the covered siding?

I'm curious about this too. There must be a way because for some reason, Softlist is excluding all the siding provided by the roof in my current project. I would like to figure out how to add it. Then also subtract the area covered by the roof like you show.

I dont think you can as the wall is the full profile.  The only way that you would be able to is to have an "attic" wall that you would fit to room and then offset the wall with the siding down to the roof line.  All of this is most like to complicated to worry about with smaller areas like you are showing (the change in material is probably less than a square.  However on larger pieces you may have to
