Hello everyone,

I did not like the stock "craftsman" column, so I modified it to better represent what I was looking for.

You are welcome to use it as you see fit.

I have attached the dwg file that goes into your 3D-3D Symbols-Post folder.

You then open System Library and copy the original craftsman post and rename it to whatever.

Click off and back on your newly created post and click "edit". Then you can select the new dwg post,

utilizing the file I have attached.

Hope this works wonders for someone like it has me. I never used the original craftsman post as I felt the proportions were not good for my use.

Thanks Thomas.  May I ask what steps you took to modify the original post?

Jason,

I basically opened the original craftsman.dwg file in AutoCAD Architecture and modified it to fit my desires.

Thanks Thomas, I was hoping you modified it in SoftPlan somehow.

Thank you Thomas.  I was just talking to one of my drafters about the Roman Doric square column from softplan.  It is exactly how we do our boxed out beams with the exception that the softplan seems to taper slightly to the top.  Will need to see if I can modify to be completely straight

here is a double post version.

make sure your set the post around 24" x 24" for it to look the way I intended it to. It is an 8 ft tall post by design.

use same steps as above to add to Softplan for 3D use.

I am unable to download this zip file.  Is there any possible way that this zip file can be re-posted?  Thank you in advanced.
