When printing or checking my work on a pdf file my deck seems to be to dark. Can I set the deck pens to a lighter tone?  Lot of lines close together and has way to much pop compared to the rest of the drawing.

Yes, You can either put he deck on a separate layer and use FADE or my preference is use a pen that's set to print grey rather than black. I have 3 grey shades (pens 10, 11 and 12) just for that instance. Let's face it, we really never need 16 black pens do we.

Further to Keith's reply you can set-up the pens at the System, Project or Drawing level under - Pen Setup - Decks.

Thanks Keith I'll go try it. I'm sure its what I'm looking for. Don't know why but I looked right past the Item group tab in my Pen settings. I knew it had to be there somewhere.

Keith-is there a particular reason that you have a white pen?  Is that like a no-print line?

I just set my pens up like yours Keith. Pretty simple way to do it as far as the 1 for 1,  2 for 2, 3 for 3, is a great simple way to remember the settings. Even I can remember it. The deck looks great also.  Is there anyway you can get the railing post to print solid?  Besides filling them.

Of course there is ... and it's nothing to do with no-print ... remember the AUTOMATIC ELEVATIONS thread?

If you're not writing/drawing on a white background, sometimes white text or lines show much more clearly than black.
