I have a two story house the when the two plans are stacked look fine in the 3D view. the lower floor has a slab foundation and the upper floor has a roof.

If I put in a floor system under the second floor about the whole building sinks below the ground plane almost up to the second floor line.

The left file is below the ground plane looking up and the right photo is above the plane looking down.

Since you're using the Auto Horizon, while in 3D go to Setup Options and under Auto Horizon adjust your Offset

Check that you do not have a sill plate drawn on your second floor. The Auto-horizon looks for a sill plate and sets its location according to that. The sill plate should not exist on the second floor.

Looks like you have a different plate height on the round bump out... you need a round reference point on your floors and foundation, make sure you have a sill like Brent says and turn auto horizon off till your model is correct. Sometimes it doesn't  hurt to look at each floor separately in the model to make sure they are correct then stack them.

If you are still having trouble getting the auto-horizon to position where you want it, please create a ticket and we can take a look.

It was the sill plate.  I removed that and the model works fine now.

That icon was not on my tool bar.  It is now.  I installed SP about 3 weeks ago and am just now starting to adjust things.  Thanks.
