Hello All,

I am trying to add a shed dormer across a large portion of my rear roof.  In the past, if I remember correctly, I used the false dormer tool and it allowed my to set the width of the dormer.  Now when I use it, it will not let me make the dormer oversized compared to the window size.  For example, a 3' wide window maxes out at 4'-2" wide.  when I type a larger width, it defaults back to 4'-2".  Am I missing a setting, or did I do this differently in the past?

Thanks,

Dave

No, it shouldn't work like that ... I added a 30' wide shed dormer yesterday with a 2' window.

Choose the window, choose the wall type, choose dormer style and edit width ...

Thanks, Guys.  I see the issue.  If I click on the window or the wall type to confirm the new size, it reverts to the default.  If I change the width, then click ok and draw, it works.  It seems a bit odd I need to change the width last, but everything is fine following that order.

Thanks for the help!

Dave
