A client recently asked if I could show them  the changing sun angle and shadow effect on their

house throughout the day & different times of year. This got me to wondering if I can do an animation with the house

stationary and the sun rising & throughout the day to sunset. I could take individual shots at different times of day but

is there an easy way to do this automatically?

I would just advance the time of day 15 minutes at a time and save a textured image (jpg) and use one of the many animation softwares available to string them together in a movie clip.

When in 3D, you can select Output Options, select Animation and under Animation Type you can select Full Day Sun Study or Full Year Sun Study. Select Output to File and you can upload it to You Tube.

  Yvon, Just tried it with the project that I have open worked perfectly once I checked custom lighting.

Who knew! I would have sat there for an hour or so making images! Good to know.

I've never tried it, but I think that option has been around for quite some time...probably since v2012 at least.
