As many of you may be aware, every 1000 posts, I've been doing something special, or giving something away. To celebrate my 3000 posts, I'm offering to create COLOUR SWATCHES (.ACO palettes) of your favourite (or ANY) manufacturers colours. So that you can use them whenever you wish.

This is obviously time dependent (i.e If "I" have the time) ... but if you want to give me a link to a manufacturers page that gives their colour range, I'll post a *.aco palette file as near as I can get to their posted colours, for anyone to use.

Put the palette in the C:\SoftPlan\3D\Color Swatches sub-directory and you should be able to use all their standard colours.

Obviously, by their very nature these are plain colours.

To start the ball rolling ... I'll post some I did a while ago, and you can add them and see how they work.

The forum won't let me post the *.aco files directly so they are zipped.

The enclosed palettes are VICWEST STEEL, MITTEN SIDING, WOODSTAIN COLOURS and just for fun CRAYOLA 2009 colour range.

Really ... 174 views and NOBODY wants me to customise a palette for them?

Just to be clear there's no expiry date on this offer (since I also get another colour palette too) ... So if at any time you want me to make palettes, just let me know.

If there's anyone out there wants more extensive paint colour palettes, here's a great link for you ... http://www.resene.co...olour_files.htm ... a lot of them too. It looks like these are standard with Softplan, but maybe only the Australian/New Zealand versions. I know they are not in my library.

I know we use Sico 6000 series so I sometime do Jpeg clips to use in the plans but that's a awful lot of possible colors

Yes, 1800+ colours may be a challenge. Leave that one with me!

Does anybody have the James Hardie textures?

I'm specifically looking for the Board and Batten textures, but would be nice to have the whole collection

I don't have specific James Hardie Board and Batten, but did a whole range of board and batten in Mitten colours, which may be usable for you. See this thread ... http://softplan.com/...-gift-textures/
