I know someone here showed us a 2 tone barn wall?  Getting ready to try it on a 2x6 exterior wall.

Can you show a typical photo of what you are looking for?

Not at the moment Keith but its a 9'  2x6 exterior wall.    Steel siding, 4' green at the bottom, 5' at the top is white.  Instead of vinyl.    I haven't  started  building the wall yet so I'm open to suggestions. Never built a 2 tone barn wall either. I guess its time to learn. Is this where transition in wall takes place? Never messed with that either.

You just have to build your wall with 2 different exterior finishes (ex. siding A and Siding B. One would be 5' tall with a vertical offset of zero and the other one 4' tall with a vertical offste of 5'. Both with horizontal offset of zero.

The transition fonction would help you when you want a different height.

So my best bet is to save the existing siding wall as my new wall and make the adjustments along with adding another siding as you stated..?  Sounds to easy. Gonna try it with the existing polebarn walls I built.  Thank You

Thanks Yvon,  I built a 2 tone sideing wall and a couple of 2 tone barn walls. You just cant tell your wall to fit to roof, it wont work. I believe Randy showed us the same thing. The bottom siding ends up shaped like a gable.  Gable end provided by roof works just fine. Back in the olden days..I use to put a 3' skirting or second wall all the way around my barn to show the 2 different colors. Had problems with the corners all fighting with each other. This worked great.   This is our existing Police barn with a proposed 800 sq. ft. 2 bedroom addition.

I didn't test it but if you check the fix box for the bottom siding, dose that work? The only thing is that you wouldn't be able to use the transition function with this option.

Hmmm, I'll go try it.  Didn't see that.  Yvon that was a great call.. it worked.  Fit to roof works now. Thanks again.

That takes away the siding not matching at the gable.  Now if I can match the 2 sidings up on the wall.( horz.)  On a pole barn wall fit to roof doesn't work I spoke to soon. The inside of my wall went haywire. You have to adjust wall suface to soffit then it works perfect. If your a softlist user this is the correct way anyways. I think?   (Your steel over a gable truss)
