especially for us softplan / cad users ?

 

savings on computer ?   

better softplan/cad performance ?

anything else beneficial ?

Man Randy, I read your link, and that is a good question.  Of course I am ready to upgrade but I never buy the latest and greatest because of price.  I step down to a "reasonable' price level.

The bundled optane drives seem to be basically 16GB of RAM bundled with the processor and seem to imply a 16GB solid state cache. Although for a layman it's all rather complicated/confusing, so I may be completely in (or over past) left field.

Randy, I was looking at spending about $350 for the chip.
