I never really noticed this before, .. but, .. what is the significance of this number??

Anyone Know ??

Edit, .. never mind, .. I think I figured it out, .. something to do with surfaces (maybe), or entities in a model ?

.. invariably, someone will have a simpler solution.

I assume it's the POLYGON COUNT

"Usually (but not always) triangular, polygons arise when an object's surface is modeled, vertices are selected, and the object is rendered in a wire frame model. ... The polygon count refers to the number of polygons being rendered per frame."

Yes, it's the number of triangles you are generating in your model. The higher the number, the more complex the model.

Interesting.  never noticed it.  I guess there is relevance there to determine rendering size.  Could be useful if trying to create something for a presentation board.  Though still sounds like a hit or miss
