How do I get an arched transom that is applied over a door.  All I can manage arches the door top but not the transom.

Edit the transom in the drawing library, and add a deflection to it - I think - Not in Softplan at the moment, but if not, Then edit the transom to an arched casement.

Well. arching the transom first and saving it that way is the way to go.  But I couldn't figure out how to add it directly on top of the door so I added it to the wall beside the door and slide it over, but it worked and the client is gonna be happy now.  thanks.

Actually it's not ... The schedule will show the two window as a separate entities.

As I said above ...

Edit the main window ... Add Transom ... set the height you want. Go to FILE > DRAWING OPTIONS > DRAWING LIBRARY > OPENINGS ... Edit the opening you want ... click on the transom and add a deflection. Refresh the display of that window by unchecking and rechecking product code.

I want the transom over a french door.  When I click add transom it doesn't give me the option of picking a transom just size.

I'll try again.

No, you're right ... Softplan ASSUMES that transoms are square units over the opening with a 1' default for height. However, the transom is configurable in the drawing library.

As with a lot of Softplan, you put an item in the drawing then EDIT it for location, size and style.

What I do is create a separate opening for a french door with transom.  I don't use the add transom button on the opening as it does not have all the abilities to customize when I want.  Create a separate door with a transom added above and then follow like Keith says to adjust the deflection
