Wondering if anyone has some tips on designing road, sidewalk, curb, etc for a cul de sac? I'm spending more time lately adding roads, landscaping,
etc for presentation drawings for stock plan sales. Regular straight roadways are easy enough but I don't want to get in a rut with everything
looking the same. I've played around a bit with trying to add a radius to sidewalks/curbs but never have been able to get it to look just right. If
Anyone has a process they'd like to share, I'm all ears.

Yes and no. What you're showing isn't too tough. I want the circular end of a cul de sac to add some variety so I don't always have straight roads with intersections.

I agree, what's showing isn't too tough, but that was the actual site that the customer had ... roads, curbs etc. were all exactly what was built.

The key to making it look right is drawing it right. If you just add random curves, it will look wrong. Either get a cul de sac drawing and replicate the relevant turning radii and curved curbs, or plan one out ahead of time so that the curves are exactly what you want. Draw a whole site, tree's, fences and everything you would normally expect to see, and allow for a lot that will fit anything you do. Then save it as LANDSCAPE or something in your default project folder. When you need it, create a site plan as usual, and then INSERT this new landscape.spd into the just created site plan, and adjust as necessary.

i haven't looked in my architectural graphics standard but they

do have lot's of info on roadways, parking area, etc

sister book to architectural graphic standards - the architects "bible"

Landscape Architectural Graphic Standards – Leonard J. Hopper

this is a book for the landscape designer / architect in all of us.

you might want to look further into landscaping art - tricks - features - etc, etc, etc,
