Are there any tools available in Roof Mode for matching roof ridges?

I am often laying out my main roof line and then coming into it with either a shed dormer or a cross gable and I continue to fool around with the roof pitch to try and match the ridge but never seem to get it perfect.

So I was just wondering if there was a tool available to take the main roof ridge and have the top of the shed dormer just hit that same ridge and whatever the pitch works out to be, that is what it is. Also same with if there is a cross gable to make both of the actual ridges touch their tops.

Good idea, .. having an 'align ridge(s)' tool would certainly help in adjusting awkward roofs

.. invariably, someone will have a simpler solution.

Also, while not automatic, if you know your particular rise and run, it is easy to calculate pitch.

I usually just trial and error them together.  having the dashed lines where the roofs intersect helps.

not sure this is what your after, but

try /

edit /   "matching roof planes"

go to > HELP on the subject

HELP tab is at the "TOP RIGHT" of any softplan drawing

click on that help and a string of icons will open under it.

than click on the round HELP at the far left.  looks like a life saving ring
