After playing with what I learned in the bathroom Friday Fundamental, I have a question.  Can I use wallcoverings on the EXTERIOR of a building?  I have done some tests and it appears to work fine, even when rendered, but I have had issues in the past with interior walls not rendering correctly if on the exterior of a structure.  The wall and floor coverings might allow some quick and easy tweaks on some of my renderings.  This is just for the model rendering, not con docs or softlist…

Thanks,

Dave

Yes, you can use wallcoverings on the EXTERIOR. They are not totally predictable, but close enough.

They work really well on renovation work to show blocked in openings in a slightly different colour to make it obvious there's work to do.

CAUTION: If they are round an opening, the opening WILL cut the wallcovering UNLESS the top is above the opening and the bottom is below it, in which case it WON'T.

Thanks, Keith.  I'll keep that in mind.
