Hi brains trust......

I'm considering upgrading laptop/PC (I have both, both struggling especially with rendering).

Suggestions? Does anyone use a laptop they are completely happy with? Anyone using a surface book? comments on processor power/graphics card/what is most important???

Thanks in advance:)

I've used Surface pro 2, pro 3, book, and now book 2.  All of them run softplan really well except for fully rendered.  I'd buy a surface book again in a second.  I travel a lot and have to work remotely....sitting in a hotel in Dallas working right now!

My office recently "upgraded" my TOSHIBA QOSMIO X870 which I loved to an ASUS ROG GL703V which frankly is a disappointment!

I have 2 PC's and 1 laptop, the laptop is an Alienware R4 17 which i've been using about 1 year now.  The laptop is very fast and so is the video processor, this is my daily SP machine 2 days a week while i work remotely.  i would have zero problems using it as the main computer.  Also, it powers 2- 27" monitors, plugin keyboard, plugin mouse and a 3d mouse while at the remote office.  Its the first laptop i've ever owned that is fully capable of running SP exactly the same as the PC.  also, i'm running window 10 with the laptop.

Awesome, thanks guys glad I asked. The ASUS had been suggested elsewhere ( by a non-softplan user) so good to know :)

Had a TOSHIBA QOSMIO like Keith which was great.  I now use a SURFACE PRO 3 when needed/out of office (most work done on desktop) which works great for all but major 3D renderings

I have two asus rog laptops... Not sure which exact ones at the moment, but they have always ran softplan really well.
