Is anyone using material lists for renovation and remodeling work?  How are you setting it up?  Not looking for actual formulas but more of how you deal with demolition, report configuration/style, etc.

I do a fair amount of additions and the one thing that helps me the most with the materials list is to put all the existing items in a building on a separate "Building Option".  When it comes time to run a Softist report, I turn the Exisitng Building Option off. Now I can visually confirm that I am only reporting on the new construction items and the SoftList will only report on those visible items.

Thanks Philip.  That is how I was approaching it myself.  Didn't think about just turning off the existing.  I was going back to all the "as-built" pieces and turning off the Show in Softlist box.  Your way is definitely less time consuming
