I've been having this annoying problem since version 2012.  Thought going to 2018 would alleviate it but unfortunately no.

 

My assigned object colors seem to change in the middle of a project.  At one moment they are what I have assigned.  Then the majority of them change.  When this happens I go to Drawing Options, Assign Colors, then hit 'Reset to Project'.  This changes everything back.  However at some random point later on the colors change back.  Also when the colors have changed, if I select an item's properties and select the color, the second row of colors is all red.   I've attached a couple of pics of what the correct and incorrect color schemes are.   Has anyone else experienced this?

I have been trying to keep track of what causes this.  But can't see any common element or procedure.  Will continue to keep track and re-post once I have something.
